Health Technomics, Inc. (HTI) is a leader in research and development of science-based software tools for nutrition educators, researchers, and practitioners. We conduct research, develop innovative science-based tools, and apply information technology to nutritional science and education. We work with customers to promote health, prevent disease, and manage health problems.
Heath Technomics' software educate and measure results. HTI develops advanced state-of-the-art products for nutrient analysis, and portion estimation.Health Technomics has developed a suite of nutrition enhancement and education tools through the National Institutes of Health and Department of Agriculture SBIR/STTR program. The Health Technomics tools can be used for nutrition education, dietary assessment, cognitive and behavioral research.
About Us
We are nutrition and technology professionals who are pioneers in the development of innovative tools to improve nutrition research, education and practice.
- Teresita Hernandez, PhD, founder and president, completed her dietetic internship and graduate degrees in Nutrition at the University of Iowa.
- Lara Wilder, ScD, RD received her masters degree in Nutrition from the University of Maryland, and her doctorate from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.
- Kenneth Rubotzky, MPA, received his masters degree in Public Adminstration from Indiana University, and has been computer programming since the 1980s.
- Doris Kuehn, MS, RD, HTI's photographer, has a masters degree from the Universitaet of Giessen in Nutritional Sciences.
 
Health Technomics and the Fairfax County Bioaccelerator
In 2002 the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) opened the Fairfax County BioAccelerator to spur development of early-stage biotechnology, biomedical and bioinformatics companies. One area of emphasis for the Bioaccelerator is applications in the study and use of information science and software for the health care industry. Health Technomics is honored to have been the first virtual company of the Fairfax County BioAccelerator and serve as a focal point and catalyst for the growth of the life-science industry in northern Virginia. |
